Kentucky co-OC Darin Hinshaw impressed by QB Terry Wilson's speed this spring
The Kentucky Wildcats held their spring game on Friday night, and it was a showcase of speed, as the offense ran nearly 100 plays.
Many of those plays were quarterbacked by JUCO transfer Terry Wilson who, along with Gunnar Hoak, is a favorite to land the starting position this fall. Wilson made some mistakes, but also made a few big plays both with his arm and his legs.
After the game, co-OC Darin Hinshaw said Wilson’s speed has been impressive to watch this spring:
Darin Hinshaw says QB Terry Wilson "was clocked faster than some of the receivers and some of the DBs in practices.”

Wilson’s dual-threat ability is reminiscent of Stephen Johnson, who led the Wildcats’ offense the past two seasons.
However, he still has a lot to prove this summer before coach Mark Stoops names a starter for the 2018 campaign.
