Ole Miss beats out Mississippi State to land commitment from 2020 OT Eli Acker
The Ole Miss Rebels are off to a great start in the 2019 recruiting rankings, with a class that currently ranks No. 9 nationally and No. 4 in the SEC, per 247Sports.
On Saturday, they added a big piece to their 2020 class, gaining their first commitment from an in-state offensive lineman.
According to his Twitter page, OT Eli Acker announced that he was committing to the Rebels:
Blessed and excited to say that I have been offered and will be committing to The University of Mississippi #MississippiMade pic.twitter.com/5vCS4Ebaq9

Acker has yet to be rated by any of the major recruiting services, but the 6-5, 250-pound lineman is a nice first piece to the Rebels’ 2020 class.
He was also drawing interest from Mississippi State and Arkansas, so getting him to commit to come to Oxford is a win for coach Matt Luke and his staff.
