The 2018-19 season is still months away, but the Kentucky Wildcats are already putting together an incredible recruiting class for the 2019-20 season.

After landing 5-star PG Ashton Hagans back in April, the Wildcats landed another talented 5-star point guard on Wednesday.

As you can see in the video below posted to his Twitter account, Tyrese Maxey chose the Wildcats on Wednesday evening:

According to the 247Sports composite, Maxey is the No. 2 point guard in the class of 2019 (behind Hagans) and the No. 1 overall player from the state of Texas.

There were rumors that Maxey might reclassify and join the 2018 class, but that won’t be the case, as he said he’ll stay in the 2019 class.

Obviously, that’s great news for current projected point guard Quade Green, who was the starter last season before he got hurt and Shai Gilgeous-Alexander became a likely lottery pick.

Still, the Wildcats are putting together some incredible recruiting classes, and should continue to be a force in the SEC.
