The Auburn Tigers face one of the toughest tests in the SEC every other year, as they have to take on both Georgia and Alabama on the road.

Of course, that means they also get to play Georgia and Alabama at home every other year, but it sounds like the Tigers would prefer to have those games staggered — one home game and one road game every season.

That would likely mean Auburn would have to travel to Georgia two years in a row, and Georgia coach Kirby Smart said he’d be happy to accommodate that request from the Tigers. Even new Auburn AD Allen Greene is up to have discussions about staggering the schedule:

Would he be willing to have two-straight road games against the Bulldogs, though? Greene said he would have discussions about it:

Noise surrounding Auburn’s schedule is getting louder, so it’s possible something happens sooner rather than later. With Gus Malzahn and now Greene supporting the change, it will likely happen eventually.
