Elijah MacNamee played hero for the first time in the regional round, blasting a three-run walk-off home run to eliminate Florida State from the NCAA Baseball Tournament.

On Friday night, he was at it again. Taking on Vanderbilt in the Nashville super-regional, the Bulldogs were tied 8-8 with the Commodores heading into the bottom of the ninth inning.

Then, with a runner on first and one out, MacNamee took an 0-2 pitch and blasted it over the wall to give Mississippi State an exciting 10-8 victory:

That blast came after Vandy tied the game in the top of the ninth on a triple, with the runner advancing home on a throwing error, as you can see below:

However, the Bulldogs have proven they never quit this postseason, and now they have a 1-0 lead in the best-of-three series. Game two begins at 9:30 p.m. Eastern time on Saturday night and can be seen on ESPN.
