The Georgia Bulldogs had an outstanding 2017 season, coming within one play of winning a national title.

Still, they managed to claim an SEC title and have a lot of key players returning for 2018. And, according to college football guru Phil Steele, the schedule is favorable enough that the Bulldogs could be in for another special year.

Steele appeared on Sports Radio 680 The Fan on Tuesday and said he thinks it’s possible the Bulldogs head back to Atlanta with an undefeated record this December (quotes via 247Sports):

“When you look at their schedule, I think Georgia will be favored in every single game in the regular season,” Steele said. “South Carolina on the road is a tough game but (UGA is) already an 11-point favorite in Vegas. At LSU, I figure they’ll be about a touchdown favorite. Florida in Jacksonville they’ll be favored. It may just come down to the SEC title game and wouldn’t that be quite a rematch? I’m predicting 12-0 Georgia against 12-0 Alabama in the SEC Title game.”

Games at South Carolina, at LSU and at home vs. Auburn will be tough challenges, but coach Kirby Smart’s crew will need to handle them if they want to get back to Atlanta.

Then, if Alabama also takes care of business, we could be in for an all-time great SEC Championship Game in December.
