One of the biggest stories of LSU’s offseason was the arrival of graduate transfer QB Joe Burrow. While the former Ohio State Buckeye did not make the trip to Atlanta, he was still a popular topic at SEC Media Days Monday.

Burrow was one of the standout performers in OSU’s spring game before making the decision to play elsewhere as a graduate transfer. In the final seasons of Les Miles era and the start of the Ed Orgeron era, quarterback play has left a lot to be desired among the Tiger faithful.

The combination of Burrow’s arrival along with having the head coach and the offensive coordinator Steve Ensminger on the same page has some LSU fans hoping to see more a powerful and productive offense in 2018. DT Rashard Lawrence has played against Burrow in 7-on-7 this summer and likes what he’s seen from the new signal-caller.

“I’m no quarterback expert, but Joe Burrow can sling it in 7-on-7,” Lawrence told reporters.

If Burrow can sling it around Tiger Stadium, LSU’s passing game should be in good shape this fall.
