Among Hall of Fame wrestlers, lines in the sand are being drawn leading up to the Sept. 1 opener in Houston’s NRG Stadium between SEC program Ole Miss and Big 12 program Texas Tech.

The game already had a level of bragging rights for both conferences and programs, especially considering the Rebels are entering the heart of Big 12 Country to play the game, but now the stakes have been taken up a notch by two Hall of Famers.

If you were unaware, the Nature Boy himself Ric Flair visited Lubbock in June to fire up Texas Tech in anticipation for the upcoming season opener. Here’s what Flair had to say about the upcoming game:

“Ole Miss, Ole Miss, strap it up, they are coming your way Game 1. Red Raiders, Wooooooooo!”

If you missed out on that video, here it is:

While that video was posted over a month ago, it has been given new life thanks to another wrestling Hall of Famer, Ted DiBiase aka the Million Dollar Man, responding to the remarks made by Flair. DiBiase did not take kindly to Flair’s comments and issued a response supporting Ole Miss on Wednesday.

Hopefully these two show up for the season opener in Houston and add some fireworks to a game many have already predicted to be full of excitement and explosive plays.
