Florida’s 2019 recruiting class just added a much-needed boost as the Gators not only added to the program’s recruiting class but badly hurt Ole Miss’ in the process.

That’s due to Florida flipping the commitment of Mississippi native Diwun Black. The 6-foot-3, 219-pound Forest, Miss., native is rated as the No. 53 overall prospect and the No. 3 inside linebacker in the nation by 247Sports Composite Rankings. His history with Dan Mullen is well documented and likely would have ended up playing for Mississippi State if Mullen still coached in Starkville.

Black was in Gainesville over the weekend for the program’s Friday Night Lights event. Following this news, the Gators now have 12 total commits, five of which come from four-star prospects.
