WATCH: Derrius Guice already trucking defenders in the NFL
Coming into the 2018 NFL Draft, former LSU RB Derrius Guice was considered to be a first-round talent.
However, some pre-draft issues caused him to slip into Round 2, where the Washington Redskins chose him with their pick.
Now, Guice is already paying dividends. As you can see below, one of his first runs combined speed, power and agility while making several New England Patriots defenders look silly:
Guice's best run of the night, called back for a hold by the FB, but nice job pressing run play-side before cutting back pic.twitter.com/ebnpSOKP1b

Sadly, the run got called back for a holding penalty, but it doesn’t take away from what Guice was able to do once he got into space.
Guice eventually left the game with a knee injury, but it doesn’t necessarily seem too bad at this point:
Derrius Guice had ice on his left knee for a while on the sideline.
The icepack is now gone and he's walking around on the sideline freely.#Redskins

If Guice is healthy this fall, the Redskins may have a star in the making at the running back position.
