When you are as dominant as Alabama has been during the Nick Saban era, other teams are going to raid your coaching staff looking for the next Saban.

This offseason, Alabama lost both its offensive coordinator (Brian Daboll to the Buffalo Bills) and defensive coordinator (Jeremy Pruitt to the Tennessee Volunteers), replacing them with new OC Mike Locksley and new DC Tosh Lupoi.

On Tuesday afternoon, college football analytics expert Dave Bartoo joined “The Paul Finebaum Show” and said he thinks the weakness at coordinator could cost the Tide a chance to repeat as national champions:

Lupoi is a first-time coordinator, while Locksley has been a coordinator at Illinois and Maryland in his past.

Later in the segment, Bartoo said he still thinks Alabama will make the College Football Playoff, naming Ohio State as his No. 1 team, followed by Auburn, Clemson and then Alabama in the No. 4 spot.
