LOOK: Young Mississippi State fan prepares prayer request following loss
Mississippi State’s loss to Kentucky Saturday night ended the Bulldogs’ undefeated season, and it has a lasting impact on even some of their youngest fans.
For one 11-year-old, though, the loss brought the need for a prayer request, and he made sure that request was sent to everyone possible: The pastoral staff, in the prayer room and as a daily e-mail to the congregation.
According to the tweet below, though, it appears Walker Tate’s request was intercepted by his mother before it reached the offering plate.
Because this week is a reunion for former coach Dan Mullen when he brings his Florida team to Starkville, the prayer requests — possibly at a Wednesday night event — could be more benevolent than they would for any other SEC team.
Intercepted this right before it went into the offering plate. The struggle is real for my 11-year old Bulldog. @HailStateFB pic.twitter.com/G5TCQnR4HI
