This weekend, the LSU Tigers will head into The Swamp to take on the Florida Gators in a very important SEC East-West rivalry game.

The Tigers are 5-0 thanks in part to the efforts of new QB Joe Burrow, who came over from Ohio State this offseason.

On Wednesday, legendary Florida QB (and current SEC Network analyst) Tim Tebow joined ESPNU Radio on SiriusXM and said he’s been really impressed with what Burrow has done:

“A lot of people knocked him because he didn’t win that (Ohio State) job,” Tebow said. “But he lost the job to someone who is probably No. 3 in the Heisman race right now. He’s been really efficient, effective. He’s been really clutch in big situations. I think he’s getting better. He’s a better athlete than people give him credit for. I think he has a better arm than people think. He’s a tough kid and he doesn’t make a lot of bad decisions. … A lot of people also look at him as a game manager, and I think he’s so much more than that.”

Tebow then goes on to compare Burrow to Matt Flynn.

Will Burrow be able to lead the Tigers to a win in The Swamp? It won’t be easy, but Tebow thinks he has the talent to keep LSU in the game.
