Florida unveils uniform combination for LSU game
Ten years ago, Florida’s 51-21 win in The Swamp over then-No. 4 LSU established that the Gators were indeed national championship contenders despite an early-season loss to Ole Miss at home.
The 2008 squad, which went on to win the BCS championship, is back in Gainesville for a special celebration in The Swamp on Saturday. It’s only fitting that the 2018 Gators are looking to replicate that same look facing No. 5 LSU at 3:30 p.m.
With coach Dan Mullen and the student government calling on everyone to wear blue, it was long suspected that the Gators would go with their blue-on-blue look (blue jerseys and blue pants) with the traditional orange helmets, similar to the 2008 game. The team’s official Twitter account confirmed it Friday.
