Georgia has had some rough luck with the injury bug through the first six weeks of the season.

On Saturday, redshirt sophomore OL Solomon Kindley was carted off the field in the first quarter with a right knee injury and missed the rest of the game. Smart did not have an update after the game, but if Kindley has to miss any time, the Bulldogs will be even more banged up on the offensive line heading into Baton Rouge.

Jake Rowe of Dawgs247 notes that Kindley joins a growing list of UGA injuries. In the Week 4 Missouri game, Ben Cleveland went down with a fractured fibula, which will sideline him for at least four weeks.

Starting LT Andrew Thomas has been dealing an ankle injury, but Rowe reports the lineman appears to be back to full strength. Starting OC Lamont Gaillard left Saturday’s game with a minor hand injury.

On defense, the Bulldogs were missing sophomore DL Devonte Wyatt in the Vanderbilt game. Per Rowe, there’s a chance that Wyatt could be able to make the trip to LSU, something to certainly watch in the coming days.

As many coaches tend to do, Smart said injuries are just part of the game.

“Next man up, man. Welcome to the SEC,” Smart said. “Go ask them NFL teams what they do. They’ve got a 53-man roster. We’ve got 80. We’ve got 80 guys who can go into the game and play. We’ve got to get the next guy ready. It’s going to happen before the year is out, guys. It’s a physical, tough football game. There’s not a team out there playing that’s 100-percent healthy. It is what it is. That’s why we practice, to get these guys prepared and ready.”
