One former Alabama defender could be on the move before the NFL’s trading deadline passes.

Sports Illustrated’s Albert Breer says that Green Bay could trade Ha Ha Clinton-Dix before the trade deadline passes (Oct. 30). Breer notes that Clinton-Dix has played well, but the Packers have some depth in the secondary and the former Alabama defender is in a “contract year” (soon to be a free agent). By trading Clinton-Dix, Green Bay could get something in return instead of watching him leave to sign with another team.

A key contributor on Alabama’s 2011 and ’12 BCS championship teams and 2013 consensus All-American, Clinton-Dix has been in the NFL since 2014. For his career, Clinton-Dix has played in 70 regular-season games, starting 64. In those 70 games, he has logged a career 386 combined tackles and 14 interceptions.

This season, Clinton-Dix has logged 23 combined tackles and three interceptions.
