Joe Moorhead announces starting DB is out for the year, updates Kylin Hill, Keith Mixon injuries
The Mississippi State Bulldogs have been dealing with some key injuries this year, and on Monday, coach Joe Moorhead gave an update on some key players.
Among those on the injury report this week are starting DB Brian Cole, RB Kylin Hill, WR Keith Mixon and DT Braxton Hoyett.
As you can see below, Moorhead officially ruled Cole — who hasn’t played the last two weeks — out for the year, and said the other three are day-to-day:
Mississippi State injury report:
Brian Cole is now officially out for the year
Kylin Hill practiced yesterday, still day to day
Keith Mixon progressing, day to day
Braxton Hoyett day-to-day— Joel Coleman (@JoelTColeman) October 29, 2018
The loss of Cole will hurt the defense, but if Hill and Mixon can play this coming weekend, that will be a big boost for the offense.
The Bulldogs host Louisiana Tech this weekend, so Moorhead may decide to rest those players another week before they travel to Alabama on Nov. 10.
