While Ed Orgeron has been on the scene and serving as head coach of LSU for nearly three seasons now, Les Miles is still a face many associate with the football program down in Baton Rouge.

With Miles landing the head coaching job in Kansas over the weekend, the man who replaced him in Baton Rouge was asked how he felt about seeing his former boss land his next coaching job. To no surprise, Orgeron was pleased to see the man that brought him back to Baton Rouge land another coaching job.

“Very happy. I think Kansas made a great move,” Orgeron said on Monday during his latest press conference. “I can see the happiness on his face, the excitement, he’s going to do a great job there. We wish him the best.”

Miles delivered many victories and a national title to LSU but clearly, a change in leadership was necessary for the program to move forward.

While Orgeron continues to fight to win many of his critics over after landing the LSU job on a full-time basis, judging by the Tigers’ success this season, it appears the move worked out well for all parties involved now that LSU is climbing the SEC West standings and Miles is back in coaching with the Jayhawks.
