Florida won’t have to worry about blocking one future first-round draft pick.

On a Sunday teleconference with the media, Michigan coach Jim Harbaugh revealed that junior DE Rashan Gary will not play in the Peach Bowl against UF. Gary, the No. 3 overall draft prospect on CBS Sports’ big board for the 2019 NFL Draft, declared for the draft after Michigan’s loss to Ohio State.

Gary was the No. 1 overall recruit in the class of 2016 on the 247Sports Composite. He played in all 13 games for UM as a true freshman, recording 27 tackles and a sack. Last season, he more than doubled that production with 66 tackles, including 12 for loss and six sacks. He has been limited by a shoulder injury this season, recording 44 tackles, including 7.5 for loss and 3.5 sacks in nine games.

The Gators are still likely to have their hands full with Devin Bush and the rest of the UM defense.
