Earlier this month, Clemson transfer QB Kelly Bryant announced his plans to play the 2019 season at Missouri. Bryant’s college career will be over after 2019, but the Tigers may have another Power 5 transfer quarterback lined up for 2020. Steve Wiltfong of 247Sports is reporting that Missouri is a “strong contender” for TCU transfer quarterback Shawn Robinson.

Robinson was rated a 4-star prospect and the No. 6 dual-threat quarterback in the class of 2017 on the 247Sports Composite. He received 14 scholarship offers out of high school, including Alabama, LSU, Ole Miss and Texas A&M.

As a true freshman, Robinson was the backup to Texas A&M transfer Kenny Hill. This season, he appeared in seven games before having season-ending surgery. In 2018, he was 124-of-204 passing (60.8 completion percentage) for 1,334 yards, nine touchdowns and eight interceptions. He also ran for 230 yards and three touchdowns.

Assuming Robinson sits out the 2019 season, he would have two seasons of eligibility remaining for 2020 and 2021.
