Georgia freshman QB Justin Fields is planning to transfer, and his name is officially in the NCAA Transfer Portal as of Tuesday.

That means nearly every big-name program in the country either has reached out or will be reaching out to to Fields with the hopes of landing the former 5-star prospect.

On Wednesday night, ESPN’s Mark Schlabach reported that Fields is interested in heading north to join the Ohio State Buckeyes:

Sources told ESPN on Wednesday that Fields is interested in transferring to Ohio State, where star quarterback Dwayne Haskins is expected to forgo his senior season and enter April’s NFL draft.

The Bulldogs are going to try to get Fields to stay, but that seems unlikely at this point. Ohio State is expected to lose starter Dwayne Haskins to the NFL this year.

Will Fields head north? Only time will tell, but he’ll have plenty of options moving forward.
