WATCH: Trayveon Williams sets Texas A&M’s single-season rushing record with huge Gator Bowl performance

Entering Monday’s Gator Bowl against NC State, Texas A&M RB Trayveon Williams needed 169 yards to eclipse Darren Lewis’s single-season A&M rushing record of 1,692 yards.

Thanks to a huge third quarter, Williams did just that, putting his name in the A&M record books with an impressive performance against the Wolfpack.

He broke the record in style, too, scoring on an incredible 93-yard touchdown run (a career-long) after an NC State punt pinned the Aggies inside the 10-yard line:

This run below was Williams’ second touchdown of the night, and it put the Aggies ahead 35-13:

What a fitting end to an outstanding season for Williams, who has become an absolute star for the Aggies. He’s now up to 1,760 yards this year, and may not be done adding to his record just yet.
