Jake Bentley has unfinished business to take care of at South Carolina.

The junior Gamecocks quarterback shared a video Friday on his Twitter account announcing he would be returning for his senior season in Columbia. As a junior, Bentley was 240-of-388 passing for 3,171 yards, 27 touchdowns and 14 interceptions. His third season at South Carolina had some head-turning highs, such as a 510-yard, 5-touchdown performance against Clemson, but ended on a low note in a Belk Bowl loss to Virginia (17-of-39, 218 yards, 2 INT).

Head coach Will Muschamp and offensive coordinator Bryan McClendon are sure to be thrilled to have Bentley back and give 2019 signee Ryan Hilinski a year to get acclimated.

Here’s how Bentley’s 2018 passing stats rank in the SEC:

  • 264.3 yards per game (3rd)
  • 32.3 attempts per game (3rd)
  • 3,171 passing yards (4th)
  • 8.2 yards per attempt (4th)
  • 27 touchdown passes (4th)
  • 61.9 completion percentage (8th)
  • 14 interceptions (14th)
