Former Ole Miss DL Greg Hardy made his UFC debut this weekend and lost via disqualification. As you can see in the clip below, the disqualifying action was an illegal knee to the head, resulting in the first loss of his MMA career.

Hardy played football at Ole Miss from 2006-09 before an NFL career that lasted from 2010-15. In 2014, he was arrested for domestic assault, leading to his dismissal from the Carolina Panthers and a 10-game suspension for the 2015 season. The Dallas Cowboys signed Hardy for 2015, but dismissed him after the season for other reasons. Hardy began his MMA career in 2017. His 3-0 record as a fighter earned him a UFC contract, leading to Saturday night’s debut.
