What Frank Martin said about Tennessee after getting blown out by No. 1 Vols
The South Carolina Gamecocks had been dominating in SEC play, but they ran into a bulldozer on Tuesday night in the form of No. 1 Tennessee.
The result? A 92-70 win for the Vols on the Gamecocks’ home court. Coach Frank Martin’s team struggled, especially in the second half.
After the game, Martin wasn’t too happy with the way his team performed, calling them out for a lack of effort. Here’s what he said about the loss to No. 1 Tennessee in his postgame press conference:
On learning a lesson from the loss:
Frank Martin: "Ain't no lesson to be learned today. We got manhandled."

On making too many mistakes vs. No. 1 team:
“We tried. There’s just too physical for us. We made bad mistakes. Every time we made a mistake they made us pay,” Frank Martin after tonight’s loss to the Vols pic.twitter.com/I7iKofCgUe

On Chris Silva not getting much help from his teammates:
Frank Martin says Chris Silva was in a street fight all by himself. #Gamecocks senior had 28 points, battled the Vols interior trio Williams/Schofield/Alexander.
