As National Signing Day approaches, the Auburn Tigers still have several spots remaining in their 2019 recruiting class.

Currently, Auburn has nine players enrolled, seven with signed letters of intent and two hard commits (who will presumably sign on Wednesday).

During Saturday night’s Auburn-Alabama basketball rivalry game, football coach Gus Malzahn joined the broadcast crew and discussed Auburn’s recruiting. He seemed to be pretty confident in what the Tigers would be able to accomplish (via 247Sports):

“Signing Day is Wednesday,” Malzahn said. “I think we’re in good shape to finish. We have a chance to have the best class we’ve had since I’ve been the head coach. Of course we’re looking forward to spring practices. I’m back calling the plays, which I love to do. There’s a lot of excitement. I’m really looking forward to next year.”

Per the 247Sports composite rankings, Auburn currently has the No. 12 recruiting class in the nation and the No. 6 class in the SEC.

Malzahn sounds confident in this coming week, so we’ll see what happens on National Signing Day.
