The Missouri Tigers have been putting together a solid 2019 class — one of Barry Odom’s best since taking over the program.

However, on Monday evening, that class took a hit, as a defensive lineman announced he would be going the JUCO route before heading to the FBS level.

As you can see below, 3-star DE Arvell Ferguson — a St. Louis native — announced he was heading to Garden City Community College for at least a year:

According to the 247Sports composite, Ferguson is the No. 68 weak-side defensive end in the class of 2019 and the No. 24 overall recruit from the state of Missouri.

The Tigers had three unsigned commits prior to Ferguson’s decision. The 2019 class ranked No. 13 in the SEC and No. 35 in the nation prior to Ferguson announcing his JUCO plans, per 247Sports.
