On Friday, it was reported that Kentucky DC Matt House was expected to take a job coaching linebackers for the Kansas City Chiefs.

That would have left a big hole in the Wildcats’ coaching staff, but now it appears those reports may have been a bit premature.

Per a new report from Matt Jones of Kentucky Sports Radio, House is now expected to remain in his defensive coordinator role for the Wildcats:

This is great news for Mark Stoops, who now doesn’t have to hire a new defensive coordinator next season.

The Wildcats also get to have continuity on that side of the ball, despite losing star LB Josh Allen and several key members of the secondary.
