Every year since the College Football Playoff came into existence, the Alabama Crimson Tide have made the field of four.

Heading into the 2019 season, they’ll be favored to make the final four once again, and perhaps even to claim title No. 6 under Nick Saban.

This week, Sporting News analyst Bill Bender made some predictions for the upcoming season (including a few regarding the SEC). At the end, he picked his four CFP participants, and unsurprisingly, Alabama is in once again:

Alabama, Clemson, Ohio State and Texas. If there was a way to get Alabama-Clemson V out of the way in the semifinals, that’d be even better with the drama around Zach Smith and Herman last season. Texas-Ohio State would be fantastic.

And who will win? Bender thinks the Tide will hoist the CFP trophy once again:

Alabama will continue the trend of alternating national championship seasons in the CFP era, and there’s a good chance Clemson will be on the other sideline.
