It wasn’t that long ago Ed Orgeron was touting the fact that LSU did not have a single player add his name to the NCAA’s transfer portal this offseason. The Tigers were one of two FBS teams that could say that, according to Coach O, but that didn’t last very long as LSU has now seen several players enter the portal since Orgeron’s comments.

Davin Cotton and Dominic Livingston were the first two players to enter the database and now Dantrieze Scott has joined them in the NCAA transfer portal. All three players are listed in the portal according to 247Sports’ transfer portal database with all three having undetermined destinations.

Scott signed with LSU as a three-star member of the program’s 2018 recruiting class out of Ferriday High School in Louisiana. He played both linebacker and tight end for the Tigers during his time in Baton Rouge.

It should be noted that just because a player enters the transfer portal does not mean they cannot return to the program, however, it is the first step in an eventual transfer from the school.
