The LSU Tigers have been a mess lately, with coach Will Wade suspended after being caught up in an FBI investigation and key G Javonte Smart held out of a game before being reinstated.

Then, the Tigers — the No. 1 seed in the SEC Tournament — lost their first game in Nashville, falling to No. 8 seed Florida on a last-second shot.

How will they fare in the NCAA Tournament? Well, all of the turmoil surrounding the program didn’t hurt them too much in the eyes of the Selection Committee.

During Sunday night’s Selection Show, the Tigers were named the No. 3 seed in the East regional. They’ll take on the No. 14 seed Yale Bulldogs.

That game will take place in Jacksonville, Florida, on Thursday. Should the Tigers advance to the second weekend of the tournament, that action will be in Washington D.C.
