LOOK: Fans react to Alabama being among first teams left out of the NCAA Tournament
A couple of weeks ago, it looked like Alabama had a solid claim to a spot in the NCAA Tournament. However, the Tide collapsed down the stretch.
On Sunday, they were not named to the field of 68, and during the Selection Show, it was revealed that they were the second team out of the bracket.
With a couple of unexpected teams stealing bids this weekend, it shows just how frustrating this was for the Tide, who will now likely be heading to the NIT. However, coach Avery Johnson and his squad have no one to blame but themselves, as perhaps one more win somewhere on the schedule would have gotten them into the bracket.
After the snub, Alabama fans (and non-fans) took to Twitter to weigh in on the Tide missing out on March Madness this year:

Another year of Alabama basketball, another year of disappointment.

On the one hand, if the three bids weren't stolen this week (or if only one was), Bama gets in.
On the other, more important, hand, if Alabama had won **literally any other game on its schedule** the Tide absolutely would have Danced.

St John’s and Arizona St are the only teams I can point to and say they got a break over Alabama.
Fact is the Bama program took a big step backwards this year and watched other rival programs fly by.

I’m not even slightly disappointed that Alabama didn’t make the tournament. We 1000% did not deserve to be there.
