The Arkansas Razorbacks parted ways with coach Mike Anderson on Tuesday, and it didn’t take long for the rumor mill to kick into full gear.

Already, a leading candidate has emerged to replace Anderson, who has been with the Hogs for the past eight seasons.

Per reporter Jeff Goodman, Houston’s Kelvin Sampson is perhaps the Hogs’ top target. Sampson’s Houston team is still in the NCAA Tournament and will face Kentucky this week:

Interestingly, Sampson has a tie to Arkansas AD Hunter Yurachek, as Yurachek came to Fayetteville from Houston.

Sampson has a checkered past with the NCAA, but he has seemingly been clean at Houston and is clearly a strong basketball coach.
