The Missouri Tigers didn’t have the end to the 2019 season they wanted, as they were among the first teams left out of the NCAA Tournament.

However, it was a great year for OF Kameron Misner, and he parlayed that into being a first-round pick in the 2019 MLB Draft on Monday night.

The Miami Marlins picked the left-handed hitter with the No. 35 overall pick in the draft, which is one of the competitive balance picks given to teams every year. Now, Misner will join Vanderbilt OF JJ Bleday as a member of the Marlins’ organization.

Misner hit .286 with 10 home runs and 32 RBI, to go with 20 stolen bases, in 2019. He also plays solid defense in center field.
