At SEC Media Days in Hoover, Alabama, there was a lot of talk about the 2019 Florida football team. But a future Gator has just made news as well.

Jahari Rogers, a 4-star cornerback out of Arlington, Texas, announced his pledge to UF on Monday night via his Twitter account. At the prestigious “The Opening Finals” camp this month, Rogers checked in a 6-feet, 168 pounds and recorded a 4.65-second 40-yard dash, a 4.14-second shuttle, a 10.80-second 100-meter and a 34.00-inch vertical. On the 247Sports Composite, Rogers is rated the No. 10 cornerback, No. 27 Texas product and No. 154 prospect overall nationally in the class of 2020. He has 32 scholarship offers at this time, including Alabama, Arkansas, Auburn, Georgia, LSU and Tennessee. Florida’s 2020 class now has 18 pledges.
