The Georgia Bulldogs enter the 2019 season as the No. 3 team in the country, by many rankings.

However, on Wednesday, SEC Network analyst Greg McElroy said he doesn’t think this fall is the year the Dawgs will have their best chance to win a title.

He said he thinks 2020 is the Bulldogs’ best bet, adding that he thinks QB Jake Fromm will return for his senior season (via 247Sports):

“It might be this year,” McElroy said about Georgia’s title chances. “I really like what Georgia brings back this year. I think next year is their year. So if I were to tell you the year they were going to win the national championship, I’d say 2020. Fromm will be a senior, they will still have one of the best offensive lines in college football and I feel like that defensive playmaker along the front four will maybe have grown into himself at that point. That’s still a position that I’m still a little questionable on as far as their contention this upcoming season.”

Fromm is projected to be one of the first quarterbacks off the board in the 2020 NFL Draft, if he declares early. However, he’ll still have a year of eligibility remaining.

After this season, Fromm will have a big decision to make. What will he choose to do?
