No Gator-aid? Big 12 crew may not know how to properly call a fumble recovery
The Florida Gators have had 2 turnovers in the first half against Miami on Saturday night, but still hold a narrow 7-6 lead.
However, it’s fair to wonder whether the Hurricanes should have had a chance to kick their second field goal of the night, as it appeared Florida recovered its own fumble.
As you can see below, RB Malik Davis seems to have possession while laying on the ground:
Isn’t he down? Can’t be a fumble pic.twitter.com/Kd3XmqZsTu

Still, Miami was allowed to play on and “recover” the ball. That caused quite a stir on social media, as you can imagine:

It’s college football, once you’re down you are freaking down, Malik Davis having possession of the ball and stupidly trying to get back up is why CFB being rigged will always be in the back of my head !!!

Adventures in officiating have already begun. This was a Big 12 officiating crew, for the record.
