Tennessee fans on Twitter are done with Jeremy Pruitt following Georgia State loss
The Tennessee Volunteers were stunned by the Georgia State Panthers, 38-30, on Saturday at Neyland Stadium in Knoxville.
Falling one game short of bowl eligibility with a 5-7 record in 2018, Tennessee head coach Jeremy Pruitt and his staff had their eyes on a possible bowl berth this year. Now 0-1 with a loss to a team from the Sun Belt Conference, their road just became much more difficult.
Entering the day as four-touchdown favorites, Volunteers fans wasted no time showing their disdain for how Pruitt’s team looked on Twitter.

Georgia State was 2-10 last year and was predicted to finish last in the Sun Belt conference this year.

To put it moderately, this was a less than ideal start for Pruitt. His Volunteers were outrushed, 213-93, and committed three turnovers.
Looking to get back in the good graces of fans, Pruitt and Tennessee host BYU on Saturday, September 7 at 7:00PM ET.
