Freshman QB Ryan Hilinski looked great in his first career start last weekend, but the game was against FCS foe Charleston Southern.

This weekend, No. 2 Alabama comes to town, so Hilinski is in for a much more difficult challenge.

On Saturday morning’s episode of SportsCenter, analyst Tim Tebow explained how South Carolina can make sure Hilinski has an impact in the game:

“Well, he’s a very talented young man,” Tebow said. “What a debut last week to be able to come in and get the job done and put up those stats and 79% completion percentage and make those big plays. That was a great game, but guess what? Today is a totally different challenge. Yeah, I know Alabama has four freshmen, but they’re four freaks. This Alabama defense is totally different.

“What South Carolina has to do early is make stops defensively so it doesn’t put pressure on Ryan that he has to match Tua score for score. But offensively for South Carolina, they’re not going to go 10 or 12 play drives against Alabama. It’s not going to happen. So, they’re going to have to take shots on the outside. Look for them to go to Bryan Edwards early and often. He has to be a playmaker to give South Carolina a chance in this game.”

Will Hilinski continue to shine? Tune in to CBS at 3:30 p.m. Eastern time to find out.
