What Kirby Smart said after Georgia's blowout 55-0 win over Arkansas State
The Georgia Bulldogs hosted Arkansas State on Saturday afternoon, and it wasn’t a close game.
When the fourth quarter was over, the scoreboard showed Georgia with a 55-0 advantage. The Dawgs dominated all day, but coach Kirby Smart still had some things he thought his team could do better.
Here’s a look at what the Georgia coach said following Saturday’s blowout win:
On the “Wear pink for Wendy” pink out:
Kirby on the pink-out ? I wanna thank our fans. They way they showed up with the pink out was incredible. Especially braving the heat.

On finishing the game with a shutout:
Kirby on getting a shutout ? It’s great for our kids because they put in so much work. It’s also great for all of our coaches, GA’s. They put in so much work I’m glad to see it pay off for their sake.

On freshman WR George Pickens:
Kirby on George Pickens ? Yeah he had some wow catches and that’s what y’all saw. He also had some missed assignments and didn’t get the ball because he wasn’t doing what he was supposed to be doing.

On WR Lawrence Cager’s blocking:
Kirby on Lawrence Cager downfield blocks ? He had 2-3 What I call touchdown making blocks. It’s more important than the TD run to us. pic.twitter.com/32DbneHDwo

On playing Notre Dame next weekend:
Kirby on ND ? There is no preparing for that atmosphere. You prepare by playing in it. I respect what ND has done and what hey are doing. They were one of the top 4 teams in the country last year.

On Tyler Simmons’ injury:
