Hours after Tennessee coach Jeremy Pruitt announced that LB Jeremy Banks was dismissed from the football program, a new video emerged of Banks in an altercation with a woman outside of a bar.

The report and video from TMZ shows Banks reportedly in August appearing to leave a bar before a woman captures the incident with cell phone video, something Banks objected to on the video as one portion of it appears to be him knocking the phone to the ground.

A female UT student reportedly told TMZ Sports that on Aug. 24, Banks threatened to “smack” her outside of a party in Knoxville after she refused to let him inside. She claims Banks had been harassing her for months. She’s heard on the latest video referring to Banks and “Coach Pruitt.”

This incident appears unrelated to an incident that Jeremy Pruitt discussed earlier this week following Banks’ September arrest and police releasing a video of their interaction with Banks and a phone call made to Pruitt.

In that video, Banks had a range of interactions with police.

At one point, he told the officers that he had, “never met no police officers as nice as y’all,” but he also said he should have “tested their speed” to avoid arrest and told a woman on a ride-along, “Ma’am, I don’t think you want to be an intern, because where I’m from, we shoot at cops. I’m from Memphis, Tennessee.”

Banks apologized after the video was released.

Banks played running back and linebacker for the Volunteers. The class of 2018 prospect was a 3-star running back out of Cordova, Tennessee recruited by former position coach Robert Gillespie.

As a sophomore this season, Banks recorded two interceptions in the Tennessee win over UT Chattanooga. As a freshman, Banks rushed for 185 yards and three touchdowns on 52 carries in 11 games.
