The South Carolina Gamecocks have reportedly filled their final 2021 nonconference vacancy.

Per a report from FBSchedules.com, the Gamecocks will host the FCS Eastern Illinois Panthers on Sept. 4, 2021.

Per the report, contract details have emerged for the first-ever meeting between the Gamecocks and Panthers:

The Gamecocks will pay the Panthers a $400,000 guarantee for the contest, according to the copy of the contract.

The Panthers play in the Ohio Valley Conference and are famous for producing current San Francisco 49ers QB Jimmy Garappolo, ex-Dallas Cowboys QB (and current CBS analyst) Tony Romo and legendary coach Mike Shanahan, among others.

The Gamecocks will also play East Carolina, Troy and Clemson during nonconference play in 2021.
