‘Tank for Tua’ campaign marches on: New NFL team mentioned as destination for QB after Dolphins win

The Miami Dolphins win on Sunday over the New York Jets has changed a popular conversation throughout the NFL season about the spring NFL Draft. Who will draft Alabama QB Tua Tagovailoa? The conversation has even taken on the nickname, “Tank for Tua.”

Some Dolphins fans even changed their Twitter handles to things like “we tanking.”

The story had even developed a “Tank for Tua Bowl” matchup between the previously winless Dolphins and the winless Cincinnati Bengals, who are set to play Dec. 22, who are now pegged as a possible destination. Though some prefer the Bengals pick Ohio State DL Chase Young, or other positions like the offensive line because they believe quarterback is not the main problem.

Others mentioned Tagovailoa’s ankle injury history and possible inability to escape a bad offensive line.

There’s plenty of time for this to be sorted out. After all, the Bengals face the now 1-7 New York Jets on Dec. 1, the team that allowed this conversation to move forward.
