When Ed Orgeron wasn’t hired as USC’s full-time coach after the 2013 season, it was one of the worst moments of his life.

During an emotional College GameDay segment on Saturday, he told reporter Tom Rinaldi that his last meeting with the USC players felt like “a funeral.”

However, he’s now the coach of No. 1 LSU, so things have clearly worked out for Coach O. Check out this segment on a lifetime of lessons learned in the coaching business:

It’s easy to root for Coach O (unless your team is playing LSU). Now, he’s in a position he loves and is having success.
