It’s official, Eliah Drinkwitz is the new head football coach at Missouri.

If you missed it, the school officially announced the news on Tuesday. Full details of Drinkwitz’s first Missouri contract have not yet been released.

Drinkwitz comes to Missouri from Appalachian State where he spent one season as the Mountaineers head coach. He led that program to a 12-1 record, including wins over South Carolina and North Carolina, and the Sun Belt Championship. Before getting into college football, Drinkwitz rose up through the high school ranks, coaching with Gus Malzahn.

Drinkwitz landed his first college job as an analyst at Auburn after Malzahn took over the offensive coordinator role on The Plains.
