Lane Kiffin just landed his first high school quarterback commit since taking over the Ole Miss program.

With the Early Signing Period quickly approaching, Stephenville, Texas native Kade Renfro has jumped in the boat and committed to Ole Miss over Florida State. Renfro took an official visit to Oxford last weekend, the final weekend prospects were permitted to visit campuses before the upcoming signing period.

The 6-foot-3, 190-pound Renfro is rated as a three-star prospect by 247Sports Composite Rankings and the No. 51 pro-style passer in the country for the 2020 recruiting cycle. Renfro has previously been committed to North Texas.

“Hotty Toddy!!! Thanks for all the support throughout the recruiting process,” Renfro posted on Twitter. “The next chapter begins, and now it’s time to get to work as an Ole Miss Rebel!❤️💙 #LaneTrain #SHARKSEA20N #AGTG”

Following this news, Ole Miss is up to 16 total commitments in the 2020 recruiting cycle. Renfro is the only quarterback committed to the class.
