The Alabama Crimson Tide face an uncertain future at the quarterback position heading into 2020.

There’s still a small chance that 2019 starter Tua Tagovailoa could return. If he leaves, Mac Jones and Taulia Tagovailoa will be in the mix, along with Paul Tyson.

However, could coach Nick Saban and the Tide turn to an incoming freshman at the position? During his Wednesday press conference, Saban heaped praise on 5-star QB signee Bryce Young from California:

Young has been shooting up the recruiting rankings after a phenomenal senior season. He is now a 5-star player and, per the 247Sports composite rankings, he’s the No. 1 dual-threat quarterback in the 2020 class and the No. 2 overall recruit from the state of California.

Will he actually be the starter in 2020? That remains to be seen.
