The LSU defense took a hit before the Alabama game, as LB Michael Divinity Jr. took a leave of absence from the team.
He has been back with the program in recent weeks, working out with his teammates. However, it was unclear if he’d be back should the Tigers advance to the national title game.
Well, after LSU’s Peach Bowl victory on Saturday night, Divinity did indeed tweet that he was back and would see everyone in New Orleans on Jan. 13:

Before his departure, Divinity played in 5 games, recording 23 tackles, 3 sacks and 1 forced fumble.
What his role will be for the title game remains to be seen, but having a player like him add depth is never a bad thing.
