According to all the buzz coming out of Athens leading up to this decision, Jake Fromm was genuinely torn on whether to return to Georgia for one final season. After much thought and prayer, the Bulldog quarterback announced his decision to leave school early for the 2020 NFL Draft.

During his three seasons in Athens, Fromm led Georgia to a 36-7 record as a starting quarterback including three SEC East titles — something no SEC quarterback has ever accomplished in his first three seasons as a team’s starter. The Bulldogs won the 2017 SEC Championship Game in Fromm’s freshman season.

In addition to Georgia’s overall success during Fromm’s time as a starter, the Bulldog QB also put up some incredible numbers during his time in Athens. For his career, Fromm completed 63.3 percent of his passes for 8.236 yards with 78 touchdowns and only 18 interceptions. He also scored three rushing touchdowns — all of which came during his freshman season.

With Fromm now deciding to leave Georgia, the offseason overhaul on the offensive side of the ball continues in Athens as the team’s starting quarterback joins running back D’Andre Swift and offensive linemen Andrew Thomas, Isaiah Wilson and Solomon Kindley as players that have declared early for the 2020 NFL Draft.

Now the big question in Athens surrounds the status of offensive coordinator James Coley. Will Kirby Smart replace Coley after one season or will they keep him and still retool the offense in new ways with so many new faces on that side of the ball?
