Former Texas A&M running back scored the first official touchdown of the St. Louis BattleHawks franchise. Ford powered his way through the Dallas Renegades defense to give his team the lead on the rebooted XFL’s opening weekend.

Ford is in the XFL after bouncing around the NFL the past two years. After being undrafted free agent out of Texas A&M, Ford joined the Buffalo Bills in 2018. He made his NFL debut on Dec. 16, 2018, filling in for an injured LeSean McCoy. His contributions of 79 rushing yards and 21 receiving yards over two games weren’t enough to keep on the roster for 2019 season as the Bills waived Ford in May. After a cup of coffee with the Indianapolis Colts during preseason camp, Ford was claimed by the Green Bay Packers on Aug. 6, 2019. He was released by Green Bay on Aug. 31, 2019 and did not play in the 2019 NFL regular season. Ford signed with the BattleHawks in January.

The BattleHawks lead the Renegades 15-9 late in the fourth quarter.
